We are Saints and Sinners Unplugged, four local pastors, Pastor Ken Jones, Pastor Aldo Leon, Pastor Jose Prado and Pastor David Menendez, that enjoy getting toguethre to talk about important issues concerning the church today. Saints & Sinners exists to provide Gospel conversations to a modern church desperately in need of returning to the basic message of grace through Jesus Christ, our salvior.
Everyone in America is a child of the Reformation...founded on one basic premise: How does a man get right with God? Solely by what Christ has accomplished for us! We have moved away from this, we have forgotten that we are simultaneously saints and sinners. Many Christians do not understand their status in this in-between time—the time since “It is finished” and His return. This radio program series proclaims the gospel of the imputed righteousness of Christ and returns us to a rightful understanding of our relationship to God and our neighbor and of our status as both saints and sinners.
About The Hosts of This Program
Reverend Kenneth R. Jones is presently the Senior Pastor of Glendale Baptist Church in Miami, Florida and a native of Los Angeles, California. He is a former Co-host of nationally syndicated talk show “White Horse Inn”. He has contributed to “Experiencing the Truth”, “Glory Road”, and, “I Know a Place”, all published by Crossway. He has also contributed to “Tabletalk” magazine and is a frequent conference speaker. Pastor Jones has been in Pastoral Ministry since 1983; he is married to Lisa for 36 years and they have one adult son, Kenny.
Reverend David Menendez has been a minister of the Gospel for over 15 years now, serving the last 12 at Tamiami Baptist Church of Miami (www.tamiamibc.org). He has been married to his wife Aurora for 18 years with whom they have two children, Rebecca (15), and Issac (8). David and Aurora were born and raised in Cuba, immigrating to America over twenty years ago. Pastor David has a passion for sharing the gospel of the grace of Christ and equipping others for a Christ-centered life and ministry. He has graduate degrees in divinity, social studies, and counseling psychology as well as a Doctor of Ministry from Knox Theological Seminary. His ministry has always had a bi-lingual approach to reach the cultures of South Florida in the Miami area with services in both English and Spanish.
Pastor Jose Prado is the Senior Pastor at Christ City Church since 2012. A man graciously saved by the Gospel from a degenerate youth and turned from “a wanna-be, part-time boxer” into a man passionate to contest for and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. By God’s grace given a beautiful wife and by His mercy four awesome kids that inherited their mother’s looks. Christ City Church exist to glorify God by making disciples who are compelled by His Love to represent the Gospel to every man, woman, and child.Church Planter. By God's sovereign grace, all who receive Christ by faith are saved. By grace through faith, we are declared guiltless before God and we can enjoy fellowship with Him. The Lord calls sinners like you and me, those who are spiritually hungry and thirsty, to come to Him. God saves us to serve Him and bear fruit for His glory.
Pastor Aldo Leon has been the Senior Pastor at Reconcile Church Miami since 2015. He studied and was prepared for ministry at the Master's Seminary in the Master's of Divinity program in Los Angeles, California and the THM program at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. While in Los Angeles he worked at a non-profit called Children's Hunger Fund where he equipped local churches to do gospel-centered mercy ministry in the Southern California area, Guatemala, Peru, Mexico, Belarus and Ukraine. He also pastored a church as an associate in the downtown Los Angeles area where he was the Spanish pastor. He then moved to Miami to be a part of a church plant residency in order to plant Reconcile Church. In 2017 Aldo was received as an ordained teaching elder in the PCA in the South Florida Presbytery. Reconcile Church Miami now is a part of the PCA and the Acts 29 network.
